When I am weak, You are strong

Do you feel strong in your weakness?  The pain we may all experience, that can be found in our weak times, although challenging, can be rewarding when all is said and done. It may not seem like it while you are going through the pain, but power is made perfect in our weakness.

Be Brave when you are scared.

Although we can’t always see the big picture of why we go through the things we go through, it truly is for our best interest and we will only become stronger for having gone through our trials, if we allow God’s power to be made perfect in our weakness.

A little piece of wood once complained bitterly because its owner kept whittling away at it, cutting it, and filling it with holes, but the one who was cutting it so remorselessly paid no attention to its complaining.  He was making a flute out of that piece of ebony, and he was too wise to desist from doing so, even though the wood complained bitterly.  He seemed to say, “Little piece of wood, without these holes, and all this cutting, you would be a black stick for ever–just a useless piece of ebony.  What I am doing now may make you think that I am destroying you, but, instead, I will change you into a flute, and your sweet music will charm the souls of men and comfort many a sorrowing heart.  My cutting you is the making of you, for only thus can you be a blessing in the world.  [M.R. Dehaan]

C. S. Lewis“God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains:  it is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world.”

Are you hanging with turkeys?

Are you hanging with turkeys?

How Can You Soar With Eagles

You know that old saying if you want to soar with Eagles then don’t hang with turkeys?

It’s Time to Get Your Feet Off the Ground and start soaring.

If you are an eagle, it can be a challenge to soar high when you are spending your time with heavy-bodied turkeys who can hardly get off the ground.

Soon, your own flight muscles will atrophy.

When you do take flight, you will easily tire, your ability to navigate will be rusty, and your skills at reading the wind and soaring on them will diminish.

Additionally, your self-confidence will be shaken. You will start to identify more with turkeys than with eagles.

Can you identify with this?  Take a moment to really assess where you are and where you want to be.  If you want to soar high then you need to look at who you are hanging with.  Sometimes life gets so busy we don’t stop to have a look at where are influence is coming from.

Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with being a turkey.  These people are happy and content with who they are and where they are headed.  They don’t need wings to fly, life is good.  We all need turkeys in our lives.

If you have aspirations to fly then you need to source out the people who will help you learn to do so.   You need to learn to stretch your  wings, take a fall or two but get back up again and see that it is possible because those you are now flying with have done it all before.

As you learn keep looking up to see who is soaring above you and continue to learn and you will soar higher as well.

To your success,

Julia :)

Shiny Objects

Shiny Objects

Posted on 15. Feb, 2014 by Julia Mitchell.

We have been distracted by them  …. that next shiny object which takes us off the path that we were on.  I am certainly guilty of  it. When it seems all difficult we look at a way of making easier or so it seems.

Maybe by being connected on Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, youtube, pinterest, google hangout, webinar, instagram, blog, squeeze page etc will make me more money.  Wrong!

Think about the 80/20 principle.

80% of your results will come from 20% of your efforts so if you are doing all of these things how do you even know what the 20% is.

I’m preaching to myself here.  I have so got off track it is not funny.  They pull to be in the next best thing, you know it’s ground floor, get in know get the overflow, over-spill, do nothing,  bla bla bla, etc etc etc.

So how do you get back on track!

  • Decided what the goal is you are trying to achieve!

  • Ask yourself the questions,

  1. Will this benefit my business?
  2. How will this accomplish my long term goal?
  3. Is the timing right?
  4. Why do I want to do this?
  5. How much time effort and energy will it take to get this next thing happening?
  6. Will it make me any money?
  7. Is it in line with my goals, values, vision?
  • If you come up with a no then, unsubscribe yourself from the email list, facebook group, unfriend the person or the group or the page.

  • Remove the distraction!!!!

  • Stay focused and don’t give up you will make it :)

Oscar took this phone on December 2013. Dinner was ready and I was searching for him everywhere. Found him on the top of the roof.
